EXHBITION OPENS IN SHANGHAI
If you happen to be in or around Shanghai, go find the Finnish pavillion at the SHANGHAI WORLD EXPO 2010. Our HÄ? — Finnish-Chinese visual dictionary is premiered there as an exhibition with the opening on May 27th, 2010 to coincide with the expo's Finland Day. In each of the visual dictionary's images something Finnish is combined with the equivalent Chinese character. KASINO CREATIVE STUDIO breaks borders and unites cultures! The project was made in collaboration with Shanghai-based artist PAN JIANFENG and produced as part of the Finland at World Expo 2010 Shanghai project, and supported by FINPRO and MUSIC EXPORT FINLAND. KASINO A4 is nominated for a Yellow Pencil in the Magazines and Newspapers category of the D&AD awards 2009, which are annouced in a gala in London on June 3rd, 2010. Fingers crossed!

PEKKA IS THE BEST OF THE YEAR
KASINO CREATIVE STUDIO had a good night out at the VUODEN HUIPUT — BEST OF THE YEAR 2009 gala, where the past year's best Finnish graphic design and advertising was celebrated. Our Creative Director PEKKA TOIVONEN was given the accolade of JUNIOR OF THE YEAR and we also bagged two SILVER AWARDS for IS THIS IT and the visual identity for production company MJÖLK.
